Laser Scaler

Vehicles can be outfitted with a set of 2.5mW lasers integrated within the camera head to provide two fixed reference points which allow the observer to accurately estimate the size and scale of objects within their view. The lasers are calibrated to be a specific distance apart when aimed at objects 1m away from the camera head. 

The lasers are positioned relative to the camera to ensure they appear centered on the controller screen. This allows the laser to scale objects in the full field of view of the camera with a tilt range of 260 degrees.  

By default lasers are programmed to program button 1 on the front of the Bridge controller.  They can be programmed to a different programmable button

Locating 

Sonde

The sonde is a device that is installed by default on either type of crawler. It emits a 512 Hertz frequency radio wave that is picked up by a radio frequency locator (user sourced).

This device can be turned on and off in the crawler settings menu.
