Elevating Arm
Elevating Arms
Available on: A-200, A-150The elevating arm is an attachment that allows the camera to be centered within the pipe diameter. This is a requirement for most certified inspections.
See the steps below for installing the elevating arm on either type of unit.
For steps on calibrating these elevating arms, see the maintenance section of this manual.
Installing on the A-200
The elevating arm is intended to be added or removed by the operator as a way to adjust the crawler to the diameter of the pipe inspected. Before adding or removing the elevating arm, ensure the arm and crawler are clean and you are in a safe and dry environment.
In addition to the 900 lumen LED light ring around the camera, auxiliary lighting adds an approximate 1500 lumens to the A-Series Pipe Crawler. LED lights are added on the top of the elevating arm and can be turned on, off and dimmed when needed from the operator’s controller. Press the auxiliary light button to turn them on or off.
To Add the Elevating Arm:
Remove the camera head from the crawler; loosen the four M5 Phillips Head Screws, slide the camera lock blocks away, and set the camera head aside.
Remove the top cover (you will have either the low profile or lifting version) on the crawler by removing the two M6 Phillips Head Screws on top of the crawler. Store the top cover in a safe place.
Install the arm base; ensure the ports are aligned and fasten with the two M6 Phillips Head Screws previously used to secure the top cover.
