For Controller v4.10+

Step 1

Once you are connected to the internet via either an ethernet cable or Wifi dongle, enter the 'Software Updates' page located in the 'Settings' menu.

Step 2

Press 'Check for Updates'.

Step 3

The controller will begin checking for updates.

Step 4

Once updates are found, press 'Cancel' to exit the popup and read the release notes. Or press 'Install Updates' to apply the changes.

Step 5

If you pressed 'Cancel' you can view the release notes by scrolling down to a device in the list and the release notes on the right will update, which is scrollable with right joystick. After an update and reboot is completed the current product version release notes will still show, however all previous version release notes will disappear. 

Step 6

Now press 'Install Updates' and follow the normal install process. 

For Controller v3.0-4.9

Step 1

Press the FN + Aux Lights + Main Lights to enter the factory menu, then select Firmware Upgrades

Step 2

Press check for updates. 

Step 3

The system will check for updates.

Step 4

After checking for updates, press 'OK' or 'Cancel' to be brought back to the firmware upgrades page.

Step 5

If an update is available, it will be shown in the 'Status' column and the new FW version will be displayed on the right. If an update is available users can press 'Install Updates' to follow the normal install process.

For Controller v2.9 and below

Step 1

Press the FN + Aux Lights + Main Lights to enter the factory menu, then select Firmware Upgrades

Step 2

Press 'Check Status'.

Step 3

If there is a controller update available the 'Latest FW VER' on the right will update. Now press 'Download Firmware'.

Step 4

The firmware will begin downloading and once completed will prompt you with this screen.

Step 5

Select 'Flash Firmware' to install the controller firmware and apply it to the system.

Step 6

Once flashing is complete, press 'OK' to restart the controller.

Step 7

The upgrade was successful. Now to finish upgrading an ROV or other devices, connect those devices and perform a restart then follow the steps for the newest software updates process (4.10+).
