Introduction

With the release of controller 8.2 controller Firmware, we have added the option to toggle on and off what appears in the on screen display (OSD) in video recordings such as depth, heading, coordinates and water temperature. This will allow you to select all relevant information that pertains to the job and/or remove unnecessary information resulting in easier to read data. 

Overview of Changes

To access the new OSD Settings, Navigate to Menu>Settings>Camera>Text Overlay Settings.

Turn on or off text overlay entirely by selecting the toggle switch. 

Select the Label style

• None - No label for each data point

• Short - A single letter indicating each data point (EG. P=Pitch, D=Depth W=Water Temp)

• Full - The full name shown for each data point

By selecting different data sets on/off you will be shown a preview as well as a character count. The number of characters are limited by the type of camera installed. White shows it is within the limit, orange shows it is close to the limit and red shows it is over limit. to correct, either deselect a data set or change the label style to reduce characters. 

The selected data set will appear in blue in the preview line

Once set up, select Exit.
